Roland Fryer
Roland Fryer, Ph.D., is the Henry Lee Professor of Economics at Harvard University. His research combines economic theory, big data, and randomized social experiments to help design policies that can increase opportunity in America.
Professor Fryer was awarded a MacArthur "Genius" Fellowship, the John Bates Clark Medal (given by the American Economic Association to the best American Economist under age 40), and the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, among others. He was a member of the 2009 Time 100 (most influential people in the world) and has been featured in Esquire's Genius issue.
Prior to Harvard, he worked at McDonalds (drive-thru, not corporate).
Tanaya Devi
Tanaya Devi, Ph.D., is a distinguished economist and entrepreneur. Tanaya also serves as a Partner and Data Science Lead at Equal Opportunity Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage businesses that improve outcomes for disadvantaged communities.
Tanaya's holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, a Master of Philosophy in Economic Research from Cambridge University, and a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, where she graduated top of her class.
Throughout her career, Tanaya has published influential research on topics such as inequalities by ethnicity and gender, and her work has been cited in congressional proceedings at the White House.
